Founded over 30 years ago on the principle of honoring student leadership, SOMeCA was created by students, staff, and alumni who believed in the power of student agency. Since then, thousands have contributed to a vibrant community where students work in democratic, culturally diverse teams to lead organizations, manage budgets, run campaigns, and shape programs across the university.
